Do you see yourself following in the footsteps of the most successful people you know? Have you found yourself saying, “I want to be a part of a NEW, EXCITING and GROWING team”! If so, an internship with GradMail is your point of departure. GradMail is a digital marketing company looking to gain subscribers (graduates and avid college sports fans) for personalized emails that show affinity to a university.
GradMail has a driven, energetic team whose sales are taking off! We are in search of students with the right combination of initiative, organizational skills, and sales know-how to help us grow. This internship will prepare you for any sales and marketing job you want for your future.
The Marketing Intern will be responsible for marketing and selling GradMail subscriptions at the schools sporting events, large functions, and alumni gatherings. Approximately 70% of your time will be in direct contact with potential customers. Promoting GradMail through social media and on campus advertising will also be an important part of the job. This is a thirteen-week internship and is a paid position. There is also the opportunity to gain academic credits. Full-time positions may be available upon graduation.
The main objective of the internship is to provide sales and marketing experience to students in order to help prepare them for a career after graduation. Interns will be trained directly by their manager as well as by participating in a structured, professional online training program. Our aim is to provide interns with the skills, language and confidence to be successful. Interns will learn leadership and networking skills, the steps of the sales cycle, advertising including social media, how to track and report weekly progress, business development, building revenue pipelines and more. Strategic thinking will also be a part of the curriculum and each intern will be asked to develop and present a marketing strategy based on their experience with GradMail at the end of the internship.
Interns will report to a seasoned sales and marketing manager who will run the program from a remote location. The manager will have weekly calls with the interns to offer specialized sales training as well as to review activity from the week. Supportive encouragement and feedback are utilized to help interns develop professional abilities that fit their style
Approximately 10-15 hours per week will be required. Marketing Interns will be paid for each GradMail subscriber they secure with a potential bonus at the end of the program.
