Clinical Peer Specialist

The clinical peer specialist will help inform the community and surrounding areas of the Courage Beyond programs and Centerstone Military Services (CMS). As such, the peer specialist will have military experience directly as a combat Veteran or the family member of a combat Veteran or active duty service member. He/she will attend events relevant to the military community and their families. The clinical peer specialist should be engaging and energetic while maintaining professional relationships with the community in which you will serve and will be able to engage the Veteran and civilian community using a variety of modalities including online, telephonic, and in-person means. In this role, you will focus on veterans, military and their families receiving quality counseling services from CMS which may include but is not limited to follow up with referrals regarding their satisfaction and ensuring their needs have been met. The clinical peer specialist will have a well developed understanding of community resources.
Key Objectives

1. Increase positive awareness of CMS and its mission to empower Warriors and their families to thrive.
2. Connect with local and national organizations with complementary and similar resources to help shape specific CMS programs.
3. Drive military Americans and their families to utilize CMS’s programs.
4. Assess programs to determine efficacy and areas of improvement.
5. Engage and link referrals for counseling services with providers across the US.
Requirements:

• Has served in the military or is family of a service member
• Holds a clinical degree in social work or related field or is in the process of obtaining a degree
• Strong Communication skills, both written and verbal
• Outreach experience preferred
• Punctual and dependable with meetings and deadlines
• Able to maintain relationships and conduct follow up with corporate leadership and client base
• Team player
• Familiar with current social media platforms
