20s/30s Network Director

20s/30s Network Director

Overview and purpose:

There are hundreds of thousands of young adults who identify as Reform Jews in North America. They are mobile and networked, building new relationships and finding their personal, professional, and political identity as a member of a community. For many, their journey is grounded in the connections and values established in their youth at URJ camps, in temple, and in NFTY. While many have found new connections in the Reform movement’s 20’s/30’s communities, there is still work to do in strengthening, building, and growing these on-ramps to Reform Jewish life.

You:

You, as the Network Director, will work to unify existing congregational young adult programs under one systematized umbrella for success
that offers a menu of relevant engagement options for young adults. Your program will learn from and build on the successes of existing models to expand into new congregations and communities. The Network will leverage technology to create virtual connections that foster spiritual, professional, and personal growth. In partnership with young adults, lay and professional leaders, you will operationalize the Young Adult Network so that it becomes a vibrant “face” of the URJ in congregations and communities across North America.

Us:

By strengthening and expanding Reform 20’s/30’s efforts, the URJ will make it easy for young adults to “plug in” as active members of the Reform Jewish community regardless of their location, so that they can build meaningful relationships and share experiences that provide support as they move, change, and explore.
