Public Relations Internship

Serene MGMT is a Management Firm specializing in Events, Public Relations and Brand Management, we bring brands to light with development and exposure through quality events that are planned, developed and marketed with complete serenity. Serene MGMT is based in Washington, Dc with offices in New York, NY, and teams in Atlanta, GA and Los Angeles, CA. We work with major brands in the Lifestyle and Entertainment Industry.

We are seeking a Public Relations Intern to join our team! You will be working closely with our Principal & Junior Publicist(s) learning the entertainment and lifestyle pr field and getting hands on experience. You will get field training of the public relations initiatives of the organization while working with other media relations specialists to help create and manage positive public perceptions of our clients
You will also assist in maintaining affirmative relationships between the client and other businesses, employees, investors, legislators, customers, or other communities.

Learning Objectives & Responsibilities:

  • Develop General Research skills and handle small administrative tasks
  • Assist in preparing client files, presentations, and schedules, as well as monitoring relevant media coverage, assembling press kits, and fielding telephone calls from the media and clients
  • Learn how to Coordinate public relations activities and events
  • Work with other departments to help promote brand recognition
  • Assist in the selection of marketing and promotional materials


Internship Hours & Reporting Details: (In person & remote positions)

  • We have designed a flexible internship opportunity to go with your schedule.
  • Interns are required to check in with their team lead at selected check in times for 15 hours a week at a minimum of 3 hours a day Monday - Friday. (*times are subject to change based on client assignment) check in times are selected during the hiring process at the new hire orientation.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in public relations or other related fields
  • Familiarity with social media marketing strategies
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
