Senior Staff Engineer - Data Management Engineering
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop advanced analytics software applications in flash, SSD, and HDD business units
- Design and create ETL (Extract, Transform & Load) pipelines to streamline data flow
- Work closely with internal customers, business partners, functional subject matter experts, and key stakeholders to understand the requirements, clarify expectations, and deliver results
REQUIRED:
- Candidate must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science
- Experienced in data mining, analytical methods, and usage of common data analytics tools (e.g., Python, R etc) to analyze large data sets
- Knowledge of Big-Data environments and cloud computing (e.g., AWS)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently, present findings, and track action items to closure
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Positive attitude towards learning on-the-job and strive in a rapidly changing environment
- Python, Linux, JavaScript
PREFERRED:
- 2 or more years’ work experience in data storage industry
- Knowledge of flash, SSD, or HDD devices
- PHP, MySQL, (LAMP stack)
- Apache Airflow
- Amazon Redshift
- Hadoop, Hive, HBase, Presto
