Part Time Associate Financial Analyst

Job Description:
This position is responsible for the preparation, maintenance, and execution of all Vendor contracts for the AutoZone Merchandising Department. By providing trustworthy advice on the specific terms of Merchandising contracts and the details of how day-to-day business is impacted by those terms, this position guides Merchants in vendor negotiations to protect AutoZone interests. This position also identifies discrepancies between executed contracts and AutoZone systems through data analysis and collaborates with various AutoZone functional areas to identify root causes and appropriate solutions.

Responsibilities:
• Manage Merchandising Contracts email inbox provide clear guidance to internal and external stakeholders on requirements to complete the vendor contract process. Track status of each contract request.
• Operate the DocuSign account for the Merchandising department to facilitate the execution of vendor contracts. Distribute daily reporting on status of DocuSign envelopes. Maintain the completed contract repository (Documentum) to allow for ease of use among Legal and Merchandising users
• Accurately input all terms and conditions of executed contracts into AutoZone’s Mainframe software (BUY1) within required timeframes. Perform self-audits of system updates on a timely basis to ensure accuracy.
• On an annual cycle, audit all merchandising vendor accounts with material purchases. Compare system set-up to executed contracts to ensure accuracy. Recalculate benefits (vendor funding) due to AutoZone to ensure completeness. Collaborate with AutoZone category, supply chain, finance teams and vendors to correct any identified discrepancies.
• Identify root cause of any claims to vendors for uncollected funding. Update system to reflect correct terms based on executed contracts.
• Assist in the conversion of all vendors from current contract template to a new template. Understand the financial implications of each term of the vendor contract to coach and guide category teams in protecting AutoZone’s financial interests.

Requirements:
• Pursuing Bachelor's Degree or Master’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Good communication/interpersonal skills - ability to listen to needs, provide clear direction, communicate clearly both verbally and in writing; works with business partners to solve complex problems
• Possesses analytical and problem-solving skills; capable of learning and applying financial principals to multiple situations
• Proficiency in MS Office Programs (Excel, Word) and Adobe PDF
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail; ability to manage competing priorities and meet constant deadlines
